Phase Two Completed!

The Charthouse, Flying Bridge, Promenade and Forecastle have joined the Forward Watch and Foredeck, as they have been completely renovated over the winter and early spring months. All the rooms were stripped down to the sheet rock and completely rebuilt. Changes were made to relocate plumbing and electrical fixtures, and the fire alarm system was completely replaced with an advanced addressable system. Damaged walls were replaced; new fixtures installed; all interior surfaces were replaced, or removed and reinstalled, including ceilings, tiles, paint, wallpaper, and carpets; and new furnishing were installed. In room safes are now present for the first time, and the clock radios now have CD capabilities. Now we are past the half-way point. Only the Skipper's Cottage and common areas have to be done, in Phase III, which we intend to complete in Spring 2004. We would like to thank all of those owners and guests who were inconvenienced by the construction who universally took it with patience and good cheer. Our thanks also to our staff, who, despite having over a third of the rooms out of service, still managed to fill the rooms, restaurants and spa in these difficult times.
